Hey all, something I'd like everyone to be aware of is the style of writing I'd like everyone to use from now on. So here are some basic rules of writing etiquette that I'd like everyone to start using if they haven't already.

Rule 1) Dialogue and narration are two different things, so please do not put dialogue inside narration.

Bad Example: He walked down the road and found himself face to face with a strange creature that he'd never seen before. It was obviously a carnivorous beast, but it was neither a dog nor a cat. It was something in between. "Okay, this looks like it'll make for an interesting bout," he said to himself.

Instead, it should look like this:

He walked down the road and found himself face to face with a strange creature that he'd never seen before. It was obviously a carnivorous beast, but it was neither a dog nor a cat. It was something in between.

"Okay, this looks like it'll make for an interesting bout." He said to himself.

Rule 2) Whenever your character is thinking, it will be in italics and in the same manner as dialogue in that it will be separated from narration. Using the same few sentences as before, I will write it as thoughts this time.

Rule 3) If you wish to distinguish another character's dialogue from your own, you can do one of two things to it. One is that you can make it bold lettering, and the other is that you can color code it.

However!

If you are going to color code your own dialogue, then you must do so in a manner that we will all come to recognize as yours. Once you pick a color as your own, it stays your own. Do not change colors throughout the RP, as I will yell at you for that.

And that's about it. So long as everyone follows those three rules and makes sure to abide by them, then I'm good. If you occasionally fail to adhere to them, I will give you a friendly reminder to abide by them. If you seem to be blatantly ignoring them, I will yell at you. Don't make me do that, cause I don't enjoy doing it at all but I will if I feel you're ignoring my rules. So don't do that.
